(This is post 2 of 3 about February 2015 Updates)
I’ve made a New Years resolution to more regularly keep you updated on all the exciting changes going on here at CA. This will probably be an easier resolution to keep than running (ah! running!). We have a lot of innovations coming your way, so watch for the #CANEW tag.
The biggest changes this month were the move to Adobe Digital Editions for eManuals (post here) and the renaming of the eCourse (post coming soon). This post is about all the other fun stuff that’s happening.
Here’s what’s new for February 2015:
The Future is Now with the FM Video Bundle
Coach K. and his talented sidekick tkt have been wowing FM students with their review videos and solution videos. Now they’ve come up with a way to upload their FM expertise right to your eyes: our all new FM Video Lessons.
The FM Videos are an innovative approach to a video-only study experience – no manual required! We’ve created the FM Video Bundle by pairing the lessons with a 180 day subscription to Adapt. It’s such a good combination I wanted to call it MEGA FM, but that got voted down because it sounded like a radio station.
This bundle has a total of
144 hours of instruction (correction: 115 hours – we accidentally double counted some videos referenced twice), review videos, and solution videos. You had to do a double-take on that right? Yes, 115 hours! That’s like two weeks worth of videos if you watched 8 hours, 12 minutes, and 36 seconds a day. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to watch all of it, as a lot of it is solution videos. It’s just comforting to know its there – kind of like that stuffed animal I brought to college but didn’t tell anyone about.)
Be a part of the future of FM preparation for only $369 (or $209 with student discount)!
Bringing back the vintage 120 day Adapt
Some of you were overwhelmed when we moved our largest Adapt subscription to 180 days. “That is too much Adapt!”. Well, we are now re-offering 120 day Adapt again for all the exams, but without a Pass Guarantee. I know, this is not a “new” product but more of a return of an “old” subscription, but I know we’ll get a hollar from at least a few of you who are just three months out from your exam.
Flashy New ASM eFlashcards
These are not your typical formulas on old-school white index cards. Instead, they are formulas on new-school white Adobe Digital Editions pages! Yes, just like our eManual, our eFlashcards now come through Adobe Digital Editions for Exams FM, MFE, MLC, C, ST, and LC.
One night before a Business Law final I dropped all my flashcards outside while walking to my dorm. Many were smeared with mud and they were all out of order. It was stressful and I had to get a hot cocoa to get through the final the next day. With eFlashcards, this will never happen to you… unless you drop your phone or something. (Apparently 1 in 5 people drop their cell phone in the toilet.)
EA Gets Some Love
EA-2F and EA-2L sometimes do not get enough attention around here, especially because they don’t have Adapt. And sadly I’m not announcing Adapt. But we do have a reasonably good alternative: Problems and Solutions for past exams! Get them now in Adobe Digital Editions format for only $15!
If you have any suggestions for improvements, feel free to let us know on our forums in the appropriately titled thread “Coaching Actuaries Improvements”.
