When I study, I rarely go back and re-read, except sections where I was daydreaming or thinking about something else and I know I didn’t really “read” it. Below is a great video that claims that re-reading is inefficient. The video provides some good tips, like testing your knowledge (practice problems!). I personally like writing my own study notes or flash cards, as re-writing something solidifies it for me. Some people like reading the ASM manual then reading the textbooks or watching the video lessons for another perspective.
What do you think? Has re-reading been helpful for you?
In 2016, we have planned some new products to provide different ways to study! We do firmly believe in moving onto different activities (especially practice problems!) to solidify and test your knowledge.
